Unabashedly stealing from my teacher's lecture.

Okay, I'm not really stealing from him. He happened to have something in his lecture notes that's similar to my thinking, but to my credit, I would like to say that I found it online at least five minutes before he showed the class his slide.

Also, I figured I would link to his blag, seeing as how this is a direct offshoot of the class.

I find it interesting how we generally subject culture to a complete splitting between the different aspects of society. For example, when I say "culture," we rarely associate what I say with what is going on in the scientific community. Why do we, as humans, divide our collective culture into differing aspects. Why do we see fit to make it almost into separate areas, no one connecting to another? At least that's what it seems to me. I may be right, or I may be wrong (left?), but I do know this, the last thing you thought of when I said culture was a bowl of germs.

Welcome to the somewhat less interesting than Fox News blog.

Okay, so I don't know how to "blog," nor have I ever done so before. However, now, in response to a class offered by our very own dear Misters Reardon and Beitelman (god, I hope I spelled that right) I have been forcibly made to create this blog page. (Not really, please don't sue them, they're good people.) So, ONWARDS!
